Certified Nurse Midwifes are independent, licensed health care professionals who can write prescriptions in all fifty states. Both Doctors and Certified Nurse Midwives are classified as primary caregivers.
Healthy Woman OBGYN’s Midwifery Service provides a full range of primary health care services for women from adolescence through menopause and beyond, including gynecologic and family planning services, preconception care, care during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period.

Tina Tredici, CNM
Melissa Phillips CNM, WHNP-BC
Tina Tredici, CNM received her M.S. In Midwifery at New York University and practiced in New York for seven years before moving to New Jersey. She has worked as a labor and delivery nurse. To learn more about Tina, click here.
Melissa Phillips CNM, WHNP-BC received her certification in Women’s Health as a NursePractitioner/Nurse Midwife from Rutgers, State University of New Jersey, after earning her BSN in nursing at Felician College, NJ, and her AAS in nursing at the County College of Morris. Our midwives are currently accepting new patients, and would be happy to see you for an appointment for a routine exam or a problem visit. Many people don’t realize you do not have to be pregnant to see a midwife. The midwives are currently seeing patients for:
- An Annual Exam or first Gynecology visit
- Prenatal Appointment after your pregnancy is established (after 12 weeks)
- Birth Control appointment
- Possible urine or vaginal infection
- Pelvic Pain
